Introduction
An acousto-optic modulator (AOM) forms a diffraction grating through sound waves within the crystal. As the power of the applied radio frequency (RF) signal changes, the amount of diffracted light varies proportionally. On the one hand, the acousto-optic modulator can act as a shutter, opening and closing the laser by setting a specific frequency; On the other hand, it can serve as a variable attenuator to dynamically control the intensity of transmitted light. The acousto-optic controller module includes AOM and AOM controllers. Through fast impedance matching circuit design, the TVS-MT110 series AOM controllers can directly input high-frequency analog signals for modulation, without the need for signal amplification and current expansion processing. The rise time can reach 160 ns/mm.
